Owls Owls Everywhere!

Back in my college days I was lucky enough to join a sorority. Our mascot was the owl and it's been a love affair ever since. Now I know owls are in the main stream right now with all kinds of clothing, decor, and charms but I was digging owls way before the band wagon started rolling ,yo!

So this inspired me to be a busy bee and skulk around the interweb looking for Owl Wedding inspiration. After all, a Haunted Mansion might have a few owls hanging around.

Here's my first find....seriously....it is awesome. It's making me want to forgo the traditional cake and just get this, who doesn't want a big bite of owl?

Here is a pic of a cake topper I found on this blog. It was bought off Etsy most likely from http://www.etsy.com/shop/melabo
Owl heads may not be for every one but at 50 bucks a pop you know this would be on my living room shelf for years to come. It'll just go next to the other owls.

And if you want a traditional cake with some little cutesy owls on it well you're in luck, because there's a gamillion of them on Etsy. Take your pick!

During my hunt I found this next site http://www.myowlbarn.com/ and if you're an owl lover you have to visit. I barely scratched the surface and it was an amazing owl over load. I was looking far a unique favor I hadn't seen before and I sure enough found one.
It's a mason jar dressed up like an owl and filled with goodies. It might not be posh enough for your wedding but perhaps for the bridal shower. Are those chocolate covered pretzels? Yes, Please!

I'm sure David Tuterra is cringing some where out in LA right now because of that owl mason jar. Here's a favor that's a little less literal. It's a home made lollipop with an owl tag that says "Owl Love You Forever". If you like little sayings like that Etsy has a few products right up your Owl alley.

For table decor it appears that all roads lead back to Etsy ( I think they have the market cornered on cute owl stuff). The top is a vase and this bottom guy is a lantern.

For your escort cards I think it should say at the top "whooo are you?", all the CSI fans know what I'm talking about.

Broach or crafty boutonniere? I've seen many hand made weddings with folksy stuff like this and I think it fits right in.

Stick this guy in your bouquet and you're all set, he even has blue stones for your something blue.

What do you think about an owl themed wedding? Does anyone love owls just as much as me?
